Summary
The Bluebonnet Brew-Off does not give your data to outside people or organizations other than the Lone Star Circuit and the BJCP. Internal research use of your data is done only with the approval the Bluebonnet Brew-Off’s Board of Directors.
What this policy covers
This policy covers how the Bluebonnet Brew-Off treats personal information that it collects and receives. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable — such as but not limited to your name, address, email address, phone number, entry information in the competition or event and judging performed at the Bluebonnet Brew-Off.
Bluebonnet Brew-Off policy requires that all participants, entrants, and judges have current email addresses on file. The Bluebonnet Brew-Off uses email as the primary form of communication with its participants, entrants, judges and potential judges.
Information Collection and Use
The Bluebonnet Brew-Off collects personal information when you attend an event, enter the competition, volunteer, or judge. We may also collect information when you use any of our website functions. We only collect information that is necessary to support official Bluebonnet Brew-Off functions. The Bluebonnet Brew-Off also obtains judge contact information from the Beer Judge Certification Program.
We use your information for the following purposes: to customize the web content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research.
The Bluebonnet Brew-Off will set and access Bluebonnet Brew-Off cookies on your computer, in order to keep you logged into Bluebonnet’s WordPress site and/or BCEOM for entry management.
Information Sharing
The Bluebonnet Brew-Off does not share any private information outside of the Bluebonnet.
Information about winners of the Bluebonnet Brew-Off is shared on the Bluebonnet Brew-Off’s website, WordPress and BCOEM and the winners are shared with the Lone Start Circuit to calculate cross competition statistics and winners of the Lone Star Circuit.
Information about the number of medal category/tables judged is shared with the Beer Judge Certification Program.

The Bluebonnet Brew-Off shares the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places winners with the Lone Start Circuit. Shared are the winners of each Medal Category. The following information is shared:

The Bluebonnet Brew-Off shares Judging Data with the BJCP. The following information is shared with the BCJP:
Judge Name
Number of BJCP points earned by the judge.
Reporting Compromised Information
If you have a problem related to information security, report it to the Bluebonnet Brew-Off IT Director, the Data Guy. The IT Directory can be reached at dataguy@bluebonnetBrewoff.org If you do not receive satisfaction, you can escalate to the Bluebonnet Brew-Off’s Board of Directors. Feedback on this policy should be given to the Bluebonnet Brew-Off’s Board of Directors. Opting out
You may opt out of our use of your personal information by informing us in writing that you no longer wish to be a Bluebonnet Brew-Off participant. That will eliminate of your information being provided to our competition organizers, and also revoke any privileges you may have on our websites.
Changes to this privacy policy
This policy statement was first published in 2025. The Bluebonnet Brew-Off may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by placing a prominent notice on our website.
